See unique artifacts and learn about the importance of Kam Wah Chung to the world. Eight-person limit per tour. A guided tour is the only access to view the inside of this remarkable site. A general store, a doctor’s office, and a center of Chinese social and religious life, it is one of the most unique places to learn about Chinese history. Kam Wah Chung has the best collection of primary Chinese documents and hold the largest collection of traditional Chinese medicine in North America. Come discover why Kam Wah Chung is important to Oregon history, the nation, and the world. The Friends of Kam Wah Chung consists of people like you, amazing volunteers, supporters, and members who contribute to the success and increased interest in the Kam Wah Chung State Heritage Site. Tours are given of the Kam Wah Chung & Co. Heritage Site during the open season. The largest intact collection of Chinese medicine and formulas in the world. The museum building dates from the 1860s. Much of the content inside is over 100 years old and is not behind glass.
