Discover M+, Asia’s global museum of contemporary art. Explore visual art, design, architecture, and moving image in the heart of Hong Kong. WestK is one of the largest and most ambitious cultural projects in the world. Its vision is to create a vibrant new cultural quarter for Hong Kong on forty hectares of reclaimed land located alongside Victoria Harbour. With a mix of theatres, performance spaces, and museums, WestK produces and hosts world-class exhibitions, performances, and cultural events. When complete, it will provide twenty-three hectares of public open space, including a two-kilometre waterfront promenade. Ticket holders can join a free 30–45 minutes tour to learn more about the museum, the M+ Collections and/or the special exhibitions currently on view.​ Public tours—held either in Cantonese, English, or Mandarin—take place from Tuesdays to Sundays. The schedule, theme, and language of each tour may vary.​ The exhibition at M+ unfolds in three comprehensive sections that span the artist’s career. It opens with an immersive open landscape, featuring iconic architectural installations from Lee’s Mon grand récit series (2005–ongoing). These complex works encourage visitors to reflect on the grand narratives of the modernist project and the aesthetics of failed utopias. This section also includes a selection of two-dimensional works from the Untitled (Willing To Be Vulnerable—Velvet) and Perdu series (2016–ongoing). The second chapter presents examples of Lee’s groundbreaking Cyborg and Anagram series from the late 1990s and early 2000s, which first brought her international acclaim.
