This year, Museums Victoria Store is celebrating the 100th birthday of Australia’s most legendary racehorse, Phar Lap, with a new and exclusive retail collection. More than 80 years after he first went on display, Phar Lap remains Melbourne Museum’s most popular exhibit. Museums Victoria acknowledges the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Boon Wurrung Bunurong peoples of the eastern Kulin Nations where we work, and First Peoples across Victoria and Australia. As Australia's largest public museum organisation, we connect the past to the present and imagine the future. Museums Victoria is now offering its award-winning, audience-centred exhibitions for hire. Victoria maintains a long and proud history of innovation. Many ideas and products developed in the State have had global impacts. The First Peoples’ Cultural Competency Program is a customised program designed to help shape how we think about and interact with the history and cultures of the First Peoples’ of this land, and how we can improve our working relationships and meaningful interactions with one another.
