The Cape Ann Museum in Gloucester, just north of Boston, MA, showcases the art and cultural history of maritime New England. The Museum seeks to engage all learners by sharing the stories of this unique place and those who have called Cape Ann home. Explore our diverse offerings from temporary exhibitions, CAMTalks, free concerts, drop-in studio art-making, and much more! Founded in 1875, the Museum today is a vibrant cultural center that spans two distinct Gloucester locations featuring four historic structures including a sea captain’s house, the original Gloucester town green, modern galleries for permanent and special exhibitions, art studio spaces, children’s spaces, and an extensive library and archives. Explore our collections digitally! The Library & Archives’ Digital Collections Catalog represents the ongoing efforts to make digitized materials available. New items and collections are added to the site regularly. We are in the process of digitizing our Art and Artifacts Collections. We look forward to sharing a searchable database on our website soon.
