We are an enthusiastic nonprofit membership organization working to preserve and share Medfield’s history. Our library and archives, our museum and our rich offerings of programs and exhibitions are accessible to all—building a sense of excitement for local history, pride of citizenship, and stewardship of our legacy for generations to come. A town-wide celebration of Medfield’s history returns—spearheaded by the Medfield Historical Society and brought to life by community partners. Preserving, Promoting, and Sharing Medfield's History Highlights include the unveiling of a new King Philip’s War historical marker with talks by Town Historian Richard DeSorgher, plus a luminaria walk, narrated trolley tours, steeple and clock tours, a Medfield State Hospital walking tour, and a children’s scavenger hunt. Our programs bring history to life and cultivate our collective memory showing how we as a town define ourselves and our cultural fabric. Our ability to preserve, collect, and share Medfield’s rich heritage is only possible through your generosity. Please join or donate today and help keep our history alive! At the museum, meet John Adams brought to life by a renowned reenactor, and explore the Dwight-Derby House , Kingsbury Pond Grist Mill , Lowell Mason House , and Peak House Heritage Center .
